With 8 to 10 years of experience under their respective belts, Kathy & Jim Yaresh started Grade A Construction in 1982 and incorporated in 1983. They started with a crew of five drywallers and added skilled labor every year since.
Today, Grade A is a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise serving commercial and residential builders and developers across Southeastern Wisconsin.

Four Decades of Growth
1982
Kathy & Jim Yaresh found Grade A Construction with a crew of five drywallers. Incorporated in 1983.
1990
Moved from home office to a 4,500 sq ft facility in southwest Waukesha. Insulation division added.
1995
Grade A adds a complete Paint and Stain division, expanding services across all interior finishes.
1998
A brand-new 10,500 sq ft facility built in Delafield, Wisconsin — the company’s permanent home.
2003
6,500 square feet added to the Delafield office and warehouse to support continued growth.
2012
Kathy Yaresh becomes majority owner, earning Women-Owned Business Enterprise certification.
Today
Grade A serves commercial and residential builders across Southeastern Wisconsin with six specialized divisions.

Five decades of combined leadership experience drive Grade A’s six divisions — from field operations to finance, every role is held by someone who takes pride in the Grade A name.
Kathy Yaresh
President & Majority Owner
Kathy manages Human Relations, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Receivables since incorporating in 1983. Became majority owner in 2012, earning Women-Owned Business Enterprise status.
Jim Yaresh
Vice President of Operations
Jim’s focus is on production, working primarily with large, multiple-unit builders and developers across Southeastern Wisconsin.
Wade Zaffke
Field Operations Manager
Supervisor of Commercial Metal Studs & Acoustic Ceiling Tile with over 30 years of experience. Keeps every project on schedule and problem free.
Danny Semrow
Spray Texture Supervisor
Starting his career with Grade A over 30 years ago, Dan leads the design, development and delivery of textures for every project.
